When putting your child into the car seat, flip the back of the poncho over the back of the car seat. The back of the poncho should not go behind your child. Lift the front of the poncho, possibly over the child's head, buckle the car seat straps, lower the front to drape over the arms and legs of your child.
Wash in cold water on the delicate or hand wash cycle and tumble dry on LOW setting or air dry. 
Do not use fabric softner.
